The Cheesecake Cafe
Absolutely fabulous cheesecakes.

Situated in a corner of a row of restaurants along East Coast Road, it sure was easy to be missed. Observance is all it takes you to the best cheesecakes (: A food blogger once said that you can forget about n.y.d.c once you tried this, and so i was determined to check the place out.
Stepping in, i was first greeted by an array of tempting cheesecakes in the refrigerator display. one day, i'd try every single one of these!
Next to fascinate me was the ambience and decos. Much efforts can be seen in creating the warm and cosy atmosphere, with very elegant european-styled furnishing.
An innovative idea to use a cd-rom casing as the menu.
The highlight here is obviously their cheesecakes, as revealed from their name. However, they do serve some finger foods and spaghettis(just 2 types) as well. A whole range of hot & cold beverages are also available to go with your cheesecakes.
We ordered 3 cheesecakes and then settled on the comfy sofa seats to enjoy them;
Peach Jelly Cheesecake ($6.90)
This is one of their house specials, and has been featured on many newspaper and magazine articles. Costing slightly more than the normal Peach Cheesecake, the only difference was a layer of peach-flavoured jelly in the middle. Light and zesty, plus the jelly adds more delight to every bite.
Strawberry Oreo Cheesecake ($6.20)
Similar to Secret Recipe's, but with an oreo chunk and an oreo base to add more bliss. The base was too soft for me, not offering any crunch. BUT, the cheesecake was heavenly! Light but firm in texture throughout, with a mild cheese & strawberry fragrance. Whats best, it doesnt give any sweetness overkill. simply sinnful but indulging~
Walnut Cheesecake ($6.20)
Something chunkier, with pieces of crunchy walnuts within the smooth cheese. The cheese taste was just right, not too strong, and doesnt make you feel sick of it at all. Its a wonder how it can achieve such a great dense texture.
Overall: yes, i must agree that these are like the best cheesecakes i have tasted so far. Everything was satisfactory; service, food, ambience, pricing. The only letdown was that we spotted a tiny cockroach, but it was efficiently removed by the staff. Nothing will affect my decision to come back for more slices of satisfying delights (:
