out of the ordinary
-Lau Pa Sat
Prata stalls are now everywhere. Most have already stepped out of the traditional plain & egg prata, introducing flavours like mushroom, banana, cheese, paper, chocolate, strawberry, icecream and even durian pratas! Yes, pratas are such versatile food, able to go along with all sorts of ingredients. But, it takes a creative man to think of even more new ideas. and i think i've found him...

This prata stall at the Lau Pa Sat has got some new prata flavours that i've never seen anywhere else. Sardine, hotdog, peanut, tuna, and even my favourite apple cinnamon (: For murtabaks, there are the hawaiian and chicken barbeque sauce ones. interesting!
Apple Cinnamon Prata ($2.50)

Something i wouldn't miss out on. Instead of having it in pies, you can have the same filling in our local-style pancake.

The prata was although not fantastic, but acceptable. The dough layers were really thin and soft, wrapping up the generous portion of soft tasty apple slices.
Icecream Prata ($2.70)

Same prata dough used, but of a much smaller size. Topped with a huge scoop of vanilla icecream and then drizzled with chocolate syrup.
Overall: Other than those mentioned, they also had many more available fillings (tomato, pineapple, mutton, chicken, corn, curry potato etc). All very reasonably priced. You may even do your own mix-and-match to get a perfect prata for yourself (: i would wanna try the hawaiian murtabak as well.
