Cafe Cartel
simple casual desserts
-Plaza Singapura

Cafe Cartel may be considered expensive for many of their main courses but the desserts were rather reasonably priced. A great place for a satisfying dessert for afternoon tea or supper. They serve waffles, shakes, as well as a newly added range of crepes.

Banana & Peach Waffle ($7.80)

A considerable large piece of warm fluffy waffle, topped with bananas and canned peach slices. A whole scoop of vanilla icecream added for the extra oomph. Yes, the icy cold plus warm combi is forever so satisfying. It can even serve as a meal for some.

Caramel Banana Crepe ($8.30)

Caramelised banana slices wrapped in crepes, accompanied with a scoop of vanilla icecream and fruit cocktail. I didn't like this that much because the crepe was cold, abit too dry and hard -exactly like those ready made frozen ones. The vanilla icecream was normal as well.

Lime Me Up ($4.90)

A lime-flavoured soda drink topped with vanilla icecream (again), whipped cream and a cherry.

Overall: The waffles here are worth eating, with really generous amounts of fruits. A much cheaper option compared to Gelare, but still losing in the waffle flavour and icecream varieties. The crepes however, is not as good and a tad more expensive. So go solely for their waffles.
