Come Daily Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee

With a history of over 39 years, this ever-popular stall is now down to the hands of their third generation- and still going strong. The secret is said to lie in their soup broth; reavealed to be simmered with pork bones, pig's trotter, prawn shells, garlic, yellow beans, anchovies, squid & seafood soup bases for 4 whole hours. Recommended by many programmes and gourmets, it is hard not for me to try it for myself.
Hokkien Prawn Mee ($3)

This was no doubt one of the wettest versions of hokkien mee i've tasted. The noodles, drowned with moisture, were smooth and have a sweet robust seafood flavour. A generous use of tiny pork lard bits managed to add some fragrance to the dish. Prawns and squid were hidden beneath but were just average.
Their over-flavourful version didn't actually go too well for me, since i prefer lighter-tasting ones. You can get easily sick of it unless you're one of the porklard lovers. Good chilli though.
Overall: The many details drawn into making this plate of indulging noodles manages to draw in a constant crowd. Although not fantastic for me, it is still great enough for a satisfying hokkien mee fix for most people.
