Out of the Pan
crepes with an asian twist
-Raffles City Shopping Centre #B1-45

Situated right beside the basement's fountain, Out of the Pan provides an open dining ambience. In simple terms, you eat while everyone on the escalators stares at you. Crepes and waffles are their main signature items; all created with an asian or european twist.

Open-concept kitchen.
Seafood Jungle Crepe ($15.60)
"crabmeat, prawns, scallops, citrus fruit & chilli mayo"

A long crepe divided into 2, topped with chilli mayonnaise dressing.

Generously filled with small prawns, mini scallops , crunchy lettuce and chopped orange bits.I could not actually find the crabmeat though. The chilli mayo was tangy and not too cloying.
Fish Masala Crepe ($15.60)
"braised garoupa fillet with garam masala spices"

Plenty of soft, red-coloured fish slices with an overpowering indian masala taste.
Fresh Berries Waffle ($10.60)
"with custard cream, maple syrup & vanilla ice cream"

Gosh, i absolutely have so much to rave about this. 2 slices of dense waffles drizzled with maple syrup; with creamy custard in between.

Firm and chewy, the waffles were also infused with fragrant cinnamon spices. I simply love this cinnamon-flavoured delight~ A mixture of fresh strawberries and blueberries in strawberry puree was given at the side for the extra sugar rush.

The vanilla icecream was the next to fascinate me. It was naturally chunky but instantly smooths out in your mouth. Luxuriously rich in pure vanilla fragrance, the icecream was wonderfully milky and oh-so-satisfying!
Overall: This restaurant is under the Raffles Swissotel Group and quality is well-ensured. Most dishes were reasonably-priced and worthy for its price. My only grouse was that the waffles took quite a long while to be served. But be sure to try their indulging waffles! (:
