Tucked in a corner of Vivomart is a newly-opened branch by Bakery Depot. Business was less brisk, perhaps due to the wide choice range of dining places available in Vivocity.
Cedele offers a decent selection of healthy sandwiches, soups, pastries and cakes. They specialise in bread-making, where every bread is uniquely designed and hand-crafted in terms of texture, colour, flavour and taste. To add in some health benefits, Cedele ensures that all of their products do not contain trans fats. Its just pure healthy and guilt-free delights!
Grilled Chicken Tofu Ciabatta ($7)
I was given a few choices of specialty breads (of the day) but i chose to have my sandwich with the classic ciabatta. Served piping hot, this sandwich had a wonderful combination of fillings- extremely fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sourish mustard and firm patty. The toasted ciabatta bread, although a tad too hard-crusted, crackles into flakes with each bite.
The homemade chicken tofu patty was not fantastic but still enjoyable. It came on the bland side and appeared a little overdry on the throat. Even so, it scored much with its grease-free factor.
Overall: Good use of fresh and natural ingredients to create the most wholesome breads and afternooon bites. This is where flavour and body-wellness come hand-in-hand. Enjoy without guilt!
