The Cheesecake Cafe (revisited!)
still impressively fabulous
I once blogged about how fabulous their cheesecakes were in one of my previous entry. After this worthwhile revisit, please allow me to start my raving about them again...

nice ambience and european-influenced decor.
another 3 cheesecakes off the shelve for us;

Caramel Cheesecake ($6.90)

the cheesecake-of-the-week. we only decided to get this after much persuasion and recommendation from the cafe staff. Resembling butterscotch, it had a rustic sugary flavour with a mild bitter aftertaste. The mousse-like cheese was slightly oversoft , with a base offering some crunch. Truly unique, but not totally fantastic.
Blueberry American Cheesecake ($6.20)

Now, a true star is born. Ultra satiny smooth and melts beautifully in the mouth- its practically a slice of heaven! The miraculously light cheese was perfect in texture and taste, without any overload of cheese or sugar at all. i particularly its soft flaky base which smooths out nicely as you chew. Extra bliss added with the complementation of the blueberry topping. what more can i say?
Rum & Raisin Cheesecake ($6.90)

This one however, did not manage to appeal to me. Yes, the great texture was certain, but i didn't like the over-empowering taste of rum. Its good for the alcoholic junkies but not for me.
Overall: No doubt the best cheesecakes Singapore so far, without any worthy opponents yet. Make youself feel like a taitai by resting back in their comfortable soft seats, sampling wonderful cheesecakes and reading the magazines available. (alfresco dining also available) lovely lovely lovely.
