Donut Factory
have your cravings satisfied!
(outdated entry)

An unbelievably long queue will definitely draw your attention as you walk around the Raffles Marketplace. Its just hard not to miss it.

Just days after its opening, this appealing doughnut outlet had already managed to draw in a crowd. Then, a sudden review on Urban further boosted the business. Their popularity was just overwhelming!

Most people may think that its ridiculous for Singaporeans to go ga-ga over some fancy doughnuts, but i beg to differ. The local doughnut scene is seriously dire, and it is really difficult to find a good doughnut out of those substandard ones in neighbourhood bakeries. Because of this, deprived doughnut lovers like me only get to savour them at Krispy Kreme & Dunkin Donuts overseas. BUT now, we finally have our very own doughnut flagshop!

Offering 15 flavours, their donuts are priced at
$1.20 each
$6 for 6
$11 for 12
Among them are some local-influenced introductions like Kaya White-chocolate, Wasabi Cheese, Lotus Mocha and Spicy Cheese.

Assorted Half-dozen Donuts ($6)

My reward after a whole hour of patient queueing, and it was sure worth every single minute of the wait.

Miraculously soft, the doughnuts managed a light and fluffy interior throughout. It was of the perfect denseness to hold its shape and offer chewyness. All came evenly shaped and with beautiful glossy glazing. Simply heavenly!

Orange White Chocolate

This is my favourite flavour. Sweetly coated with white chocolate glaze, plus the tinge of orange added a pleasant zest.

Apple Cinnamon

A round airy doughnut heavily dusted with cinnamon & icing sugar and then topped with gooey apple bits.

Double Chocolate

Glazed with smooth white chocolate and dark chocolate drizzling, it was wholesomely filled with molten dark chocolate. doubly delightful for the chocolate lovers (:

Hazelnut Milk Chocolate

A matching combination of creamy milk chocolate glazing with chopped hazelnut bits. A pity the hazelnut wasn't crunchy enough.

Peanut Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate drizzled with peanut butter stripes.

Peanut Butter Glazed

Filled with peanut butter and then glazed on the outside for a finishing touch.

Original Glazed ($1)

The best way to savour the pure goodness of the dough is by getting this. Unlike Krispy Kreme's sharply sweet glazing, their version is just of moderate sweetness. even this was plain yummy~

Overall: Their successful establishment is definitely good news for the local doughnut lovers. I feel that Dunkin Donuts is no match for them and they are actually comparable to the legendary Krispy Kreme (in terms of doughnut base)- its that impressive! Now i can finally have my satisfying doughnut fix- but the queue is sure a high price to pay.
