An og outing in orchard landed us at cineleisure's ljs for lunch. i'm not particularly fond of ljs but would be willing to eat if my friends wants to.

Most students choose to dine at fastfood joints because of the convenience and issues with tight budgets, but i just realised ljs isn't really economical. shall just blog about some variety they offer.

Grilled Fish on rice with black pepper sauce ($5.50)


It came with a choice of a side and i had the garden salad. The whitefish was generally edible but i couldn't stand the fishy aftertaste of the skin. Worse, it came with pathetically dry rice. The black pepper gravy was probably the only good thing to mention, but then again, how bad can it get right?

Also, i got cheated to order a drink. An additional order of ceylon tea raised the meal price to a whopping $7.20! The food was just not worthy of the price.

Combo 1 ($3.80)

2 piece chicken+ fries + regular drink ; considered the most value-for-money set here.

Combo 2 ($5.80)

2 piece chicken+ 1 piece fish+ fries+ regular drink

Combo 3 ($6.80)

1 piece chicken+ 1 piece fish+ 3 piece shrimps+ fries+ regular drink(and an additional $2.20 for coleslaw)

Overall: No matter what, ljs is still a well-known fastfood popular with the students crowd. i was probably just dissatisfied with a bad choice of order, since they're famous for their battered fish & fries instead.
