Miss Clarity Cafe
where happy people meet

The most cheerful & funky looking cafe! It guess its the perfect place for Sarah and I to have a light-heartening meal before the release of our Olevel results.

The cafe was colourful with many pictures of their girly mascot all over the walls. Three words for it; loud, bright and happening.

We both had a Clarity's $8.80 Set Meal (consists of a salad/ soup-of-the-day, a main course out of 10 choices, coffee/tea/homemdae barley and a dessert-of-the-day)

Cream of Potato Soup

Sarah's soup. A little dilute looking, and i expected some potato chunks in there but there wasnt. She said it was alrite though.

Garden Salad

A pleasant mixture of carrots, lettuce, alfafa, chickpeas, kidneybeans, and raisins; accompanied with thousand island dressing. fresh and healthy (:

Pan-seared Dory Fillet

As usual, fish is always my preferred main course. A slab of dory fillet with garlic-cream sauce on top of some roasted pototoes and sauteed cabbage shreds.

The whole outer surface of the dory fish was remarkably salty, while the inner remained bland. The fillet was thick & succulent but some parts were mushy. Overall it wasn't too bad.

Crispy Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce

A slightly darker-than-normal breaded chicken cutlet with a clear black pepper sauce.

Mango Sorbet

the dessert-of-the-day. Home-made smooth icy sorbet which was rather refreshing.

Warm Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream ($4)

We ordered this to share. This is apple pie and its absolutely different from apple crumble. The chunky apple cubes were sure juicy but the pastry tasted exactly like mooncake. haha. Average vanilla icecream.

Overall: Stepping in will already make me happy (: The menu was actually very extensive, and they are still constantly adding in new dishes. Friendly service + welcoming decor makes it a great place to be on depressing days. Another happy news; no extra taxes and service charge imposed.
