This was my suggestion for an economical family dinner. Highly rated by Makansutra and Kym Ng (on Coffee Talk Hawker Woks 3).

We ordered a few dishes to share..

Sambal Sotong

My favourite dish! The sauce is not exactly sambal, but is instead sweet with a tinge of sourness. One of their killer applications.

Chicken Curry

Another good dish to recommend. The curry is rich in flavour without being too spicy; and is well-absorbed by the lean chicken meat.

Lady's finger

This was rather average but the ladysfinger were really soft.

Fried Fish

Sauce was made with sweet chilli and chopped onions. The fish was abit too hard and dry.

Ikan Billis & Peanuts

Dad didnt like it as he finds it overfried.

Overall: The meal came out to be about $20, which was reasonable for 4 people. The rice was normal, and of just the right portion. Food was not bad, but somehow overrated.
