The Olive Ristorante
genuinely sensational
A secluded location with the biggest charm; this outdoor dining concept allows you to indulge in modern European cusine while savouring the mesmerizing nature. The dense foliage of the surrounding park also gives it a resort-like ambience that makes a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
dining tables in the open-air rainforest setting
Olive Jungle ($8)
a thirst-quenching mocktail to sip on.
English Breakfast Tea ($4.50)
Labrador Seafood Platter ($17)
"scallop, prawn, smoked salmon & caviar served with chef's special dressing"

The highlight here are the panfried prawns which are fresh and full of flavour. Remarkably huge in size, the scallops were also impressively well-sauteed. The smoked salmon slices came with a scoop of caviar which but were a little over-salty.
Oven Baked Cod Fillet ($28)
"fresh cod fillet with wild mushroom and vegetables in balsamico and basil reduction"

The first thing that came to my mind was a instant grouse of its skimpy size. Although nicely-baked and accompanied with caviar, little flavour was detected from the fish. Tasty wild mushrooms and roasted baby potatoes came as sides.
Linguine Scampi ($20)
"long pasta with prawns, mushroom, garlic, chilli & parsley in olive oil base"

Generous serving of notably fresh prawns and mushrooms given but the soft linguine was rather bland in taste.
Warm Chocolate Cake ($8.50)
"warm chocolate cake with vanilla icecream"

A semi-baked chocolate cake served warm. It was really moist and dense in texture, easily smoothing out in the mouth. The vanilla icecream was just mediocre and melted at a fast rate. I'm not usually fond of chocolately desserts but this turned out pretty well for me.
Tiramisu ($8.50)
"layer of finger biscuit, marscarpone cheese & liquor"

Overall: Here is indeed an interesting location to dine in, where one can unwind in the beauty of nature. Although there wasn't any airconditioning, the whirring fans and the night breeze were good enough. Its certainly one of the best alfresco dining resturants in Singapore.
