Books N' Break Cafe
where saints chillout

This is a cheery cafe of paramount importance to my current schooling life; where i grab bites during breaks to keep me going. In addition, i also have my dessert fix here whenever the craving comes during school hours.

They sell a series of classic and gourmet sandwiches, chilly ice-blended drinks, icecreams, belgium waffles, cheesecakes, as well as hot & cold beverages- all at affordable student rates. Sufficient cafe tables and seats provided for eating-in. So much for a small cafe!

Belgium Waffle with Butter & Honey ($2)

Suitable for those who like their waffles simple. All their waffles are freshly made upon order.

Belgium Waffle with Ice Cream ($2.30)

It costs only $0.30 more to add a dollop of icecream for that indulging warm & cold contrast. The chocolate sauce drizzling is another bonus.

The waffles are airy and light inside with a hard crisp outer. No distinct taste in the batter, but it smells strongly of butterscotch. You can actually smell the fragrant butterscotch aroma just by walking pass the cafe!

(strawberry icecream)

(chocolate chip icecream)

(raspberry ripple icecream)

(chocolate icecream)

There are actually more icecream flavours like vanilla, corn and others but subjected to availability.

Classic Ham & Cheese Sandwich ($1.20)

I love this to bits! Their sandwiches are so fresh and hearty; theres just something very special about them. My favourite would be a combination of fluffy buttered white bread, ham, cheese, lettuce & tomatoes. They use smoked cheese which adds an extra kick to the taste!

Classic Egg Mayo Sandwich ($1.20)

Another refreshing choice of sandwich.

Single Scoop Icecream in Waffle Cone ($1.20)

(vanilla flavour)

Fruit Punch Ice Blended ($1.20)

Blended thorougly to form a creamy smooth slush and comes with a dash of syrup at the base.

Overall: An enjoyable place for the saints to hang out during breaks and to grab quick bites. Its hard to get consistently pleasant food at such cheap prices outside. call it a student privillege (:
