Chin Chin Eating House
one delectable eatery

Chin Chin's chicken rice have always been my favourite since young. Once located in a rundown coffeeshop and then made the headlines by moving their Chicken Rice delicacies to Brisbane. Im glad that the 2nd generation still see a potential in the local market and reopened their outlet here.
Aside from the bestselling chicken rice, they also offer a whole range of cze char dishes to broaden the variety.
Steamed White Chicken Breast ($10)

A credible version of fragrant steamed chicken. Soft smooth chicken breast slices bathed in that savoury mouth-watering sauce; minimal in grease and leaves you wanting more. It may not be the very best around but will remain as my favourite (:

Good chicken is best enjoyed some fragrant flavoured rice and soup. Thumbs up for the soup!
Chicken Rice ($0.50)

Their rice here was unfortunately unexceptional; too mild in taste and the grains didn't provide any impressive texture. Good in the sense that its lighter on the palate.
Hainanese Pork Chop ($6)

We just had to get a plate of Chin Chin's signature pork chop! It managed to win many hearts with their hearty version which came alongside with wedges and peas. The well-chunky pork chop slabs went well with the thin smooth crust and traditional special sauce (tasted somewhat like the bakedbeans kind). One of dad's favourite rendition.
Ngoh Hiang Rolls ($6)

Here's another one of their bestsellers which you would see lying on most tables. It didn't disappoint but proved badly for health- lots of fatty meat used with oil oozing out in every bite.
Overall: Consistenly well-maintained food taste that pleases the local tastebuds. With fast service and large servings at reasonable prices, its the place for a casual & filling meal.
