Earle Swensen's
unlike the ordinary

Named after its very own founder, Earle Swensen's is a new expansion of the Swensen's Restaurant Group. It introduces a grill.salad.icecream concept, and had most of its menu changed. The only similar items i see are the appetisers and desserts- but they are a tad pricier here.

To make up for the increase in prices, the atmosphere provided has got to be a level more highclass.Stepping in reveals modern decor and a plesant seaview of Sentosa Island across.

Every main course order came with a complimentary salad bar buffet.

Assorted items from the Salad Bar

Tropical Spritzer ($4.30)

"combat the heat with this equatorial strawberry and orange pick-me-up"

Sparkling water with a syrup base. It looks so pretty with the strawberries~

Surf & Turf ($26.80)
"grilled chicken breast, king prawn and crayfish with honey vinaigrette dressing, on a bed of savoury rice"

Fresh and nicely-grilled crayfish and chicken patties came with a mild burnt flavour, but the prawns were a little too tough. The mustard-like honey dressing was a nice sweet touch to the dish.

Charbroiled Lamb Skewer ($25.80)

"tender lamb marinated in secret sauce, fragrantly charbroiled, flavoured with tangy chutney sauce, with your choice of fries, baked or mashed potato"

The lamb pieces came more on the tough side than tender.

Ice Cream Fondue ($16.80)

A small platter containing 5 scoops of swensen's icecream, brownie & blondie chunks, wafer fans, and an assortment of strawberries, bananas and cherries. The icecream flavours were fixed; strawberry, mocha almond, cookies & cream, sticky chewy chocolate and mint chip and came with chopped peanuts at the side for the extra crunch. My favourites were the stickychewychocolate icecream and the blondie cubes, yummy (:

Overall: Definitely more elegant and presentable than the usual Swensen's outlets in terms of ambience and food. More attentive service shown as well, but somehow it is not suitable for casual dining.
