Island Creamery
the next big thing

Yet another visit to a icecreamery- BUT i must say this is a more outstanding one.

Surprisingly brimming with popularity, it wasn't hard to see why their shop is packed with customers of all ages. Both the young & young-at-hearts can be pampered here with their myriad of culture-inspired flavours. I saw some interesting concoctions like burnt caramel, kahlua latte, coconut swirl and tiger beer sorbet; just imagine..

I actually intended to get an apple pie (with single scoop) but after viewing the range of flavours, i knew i had to drop the apple pie for more icecream instead. It was sure a tough decision to make between the flavours.

Double Scoop Icecream in Cup ($4)

Managed to try 4 different flavours eventually...

ReversO and Cookies & Cream

ReversO

Being their bestseller, this would definitely not fare too badly. Chockfull of chocolate chip and oreo- an absolute indulge for the chocolate fans. Although i may not be one of them, i still felt that it packs a really strong dose of chocolate feel which gradually releases in the mouth.

Cookies & Cream

Once again this isn't so much of a flavour i would prefer. But the wicked flavour here was a good inbetween- not too rich, not too sweet and came with plenty of coarse chunks.

Apple Pie and Teh Tarik
(obviously my choices!)

Apple Pie

My eyes literally lit up when i saw this flavour in the refrigerator- APPLE PIE! Since i have this undying love for apple crumbles & pies, i knew i had to try this as well. Well, no regrets.

This creamily dense delight first impressed with a light cinnamon touch. Adding to the bliss were some chunks of soft apple bits & digestives which offered subtle chewing pleasures. A delectable hit!

Teh Tarik

Another pleasant encounter. Came frothy & airy with a distinct teh flavour, but was slightly too soft in texture. The sweetness was not powerful but leaves a lingering aftertaste.

Overall: Their icecreams are so far one of the more stunning ones- the apple pie flavour was just lip-smackingly good! The scoops were also relatively huge in portion and the place is pleasant to chill out in. A pity the location is way too inconvenient for me ):
