Lao Di Fang Vegetarian Restaurant
homestyled veg dishes
We went back to our regular vegetarian restaurant since mum was vegetarian on that day. Ordered mostly the usual same dishes again, but this time i went for something different on the snacks list- the spring rolls (:
Crispy Tofu ($4)

Our same old favourite crispy tofu which was silky smooth inside and came with a tasty sauce.
Spring Roll ($4)

A new-found gem! I reckon these were homemade as the filling was very moist and soft, unlike those commercialised premade ones. The 2 layers of thin skin was deep-fried to a delicious crispy golden brown but some parts came burnt. slight imperfections.
Chicken Cutlet ($4)

Mock chicken cutlet with five-spice powder. Rather tough but good to chomp on.
Stir-fried French Bean ($6)

This is one of their signature vegetable dish- french beans that gave a crunch. Really savoury with the use of chai-poh & marinated mushroom bits but just beware of the stinging chilli padi.
Tom Yam Hotplate Fish ($8.80)

Another spicy dish, but i felt it was just average.
Braised Mini Vegetable Hotpot ($8.80)

My sister just loves this. A special soup base with loads of cabbage, mushrooms and mock meat.
Overall: Once again, another casual vegetarian meal settled. And i'm sure we'll return for the same dishes- we're always going back.
