A Casual Meal @ Taka Food Hall

There's so many choices to pick up at Taka Food hall!

ToriQ is one of the more popular stalls here, never failing to draw a constant queue. The yakitori looks so tantalising that i can't help but order a.. Bento Set B ($4.70)


Opening it up..

and you get 2 chicken, 1 chicken ball & 1 chicken with green pepper stick laid over a bed of steamed japanese rice. Fortunately for the dollop of teriyaki sauce, the dry clumpy rice was made more palatable. Although some chicken meat was considerably fatty, i had no complains about their delicious teriyaki glazing.

Octopus Takoballs ($2.20)

Takoyakis have to go with the original octopus filling! Their version packs a punch with the addition of many unidentified "special ingredients". And it sure took some masterful skill to shape them up into these lightly charred full-bodied roundies.


Batter was firm and full to the bite; look at that whole chewy piece of octopus tentacle! A final squeeze of japanese mayo, sweet teriyaki sauce and bonito flakes completes this yummy snack.
