De Toast

Sarah and i were famished while we were at Bugis Junction and decided to grab a quick snack here. I had a Toast + Drink Set ($2.80) while she had a Students Combo Meal ($3.80)

Chicken Floss Toast ($2)

I simply enjoy the combination of savoury pork floss and toasted bread, and that explains my choice. The retangular bread was reasonably thick, well-buttered and toasted. However, it failed to excite in the toppings aspect; the chicken floss was bad and the mayo didn't go too well for me. Forget about this, there are much better renditions elsewhere.

Chicken Ham & Pasta Salad with Coleslaw

The Students Combo Meal came with a hot main of macaroni tossed with ham shreds, sausage slices, chopped capsicums and mushrooms in a cheese sauce. Hard to go wrong with the macaroni but the coleslaw looked inappetising and tasted sour. Nevertheless, it was still gobbled up by the famished Sarah.

Single Scoop Ice Cream

A safe choice for her dessert flavour- chocolate. She commented that it tasted just like Magnolia's.

Our drinks were an Iced Milo & a Hot Tea. The novelty about here are the interesting toast-shaped tables which you get to eat on; i've never seen these anywhere else! A pretty attractive range of other toasts offered at reasonably cheap prices and i may return to try the icecream toast.
