Han's Cafe
everyone's value cafe

Jessica and i crossed over to the National Library for dinner. Both of us had the Grilled Dory Fish Set Dinner at $7.80 (with soup, drink & dessert).

Cream of Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread

Their soup is no doubt far better than the average ones around; obviously not the canned kind. It was thick enough and tasted fresh with large shitake & button mushroom slices in it. But the garlic bread that came along was atrociously oily and felt more like styrofoam.

Grilled Dory Fish

Nothing impressive about the thin and averagely battered dory. It was quite oily actually, but topped with nice garlic bits. Came with some excellently fried potato wedges with a crisp crust and moist filling.

The dessert was half a slice of honeydew.

Chocolate Cake Slice ($1.20)

Just a normal chocolate cake i bought at the last minute to celebrate Jess' birthday.

Overall: Very value-for-money food offered at Han's, and many are made to please the local palate. A good place for a casual meal or to mugg.
