smile, vegetarians!

Tucked at a corner of Fortune Centre is a popular vegetarian eatery where we always patronise after visiting the Guanyin Temple. It may be a small store but it operates just like a mini foodcourt with the wide selection of vegetarian rice & noodle dishes (from local cuisine to western sets to japanese bentos and even hand-pulled la mian). You basically order and collect your food then proceed to the counter to make payment; similar to the way its done at Ikea Cafe.
Charsiew Wanton Noodles ($3)

Doesn't this looks so like our normal wanton mee? A clump of noodles topped with leafy vegetables, 2 wantons and morsels of mock charsiew (looking so real!). The seriously large portion of noodles were overcooked and extremely dry. Only after mixing it up did it get slightly better; oh the slightly sweet sauce was sure delectable!
Grandma chose to have hers with meepok instead;

Surprisingly springy meepok- its much better than mine.
Mee Rebus ($3)

Mum had the Mee Rebus which was served on an interesting leaf-shaped plate.
Sis ordered a Claypot Herbal Meesuah ($4)
(she dug in even before i could capture a photo)
Overall: Many people flock here after visiting the guanyin temple so the place can get really crowded during the weekends. Generous food portions at affordable prices; here's one value-for-money vegetarian eatery.
