Pop Doh Donut House
roundies to dream for

This is probably the most welcoming and cheery-looking donut store you can find in Singapore. The shopfront greets with an attractive array of colourful roundies which no one can resist. Their signature Pop Doh takes a totally different style; cake-based instead of the usual doughy ones, and coated with icing sugar.

the tempting variety.
Bought 3 assorted ones on my first visit;

(clockwise from top)
Chocolate Rainbow ($1.40)
White Choc & Strawberry Donut ($1.50)
Cinnamon Doh ($1.30)
Cinnamon Doh

The dough simply exudes a melt-in-the-mouth feeling- soft, cakey and pleasantly delectable. Well-coated with some fine cinnamon sugar which gave sufficient taste. My favourite flavour here.
Chocolate Rainbow Doh

Another cake-based variety in chocolate flavour, evenly frosted with soft milk chocolate frosting and then sprinkled with rainbow dots for a finishing touch. The chocolate flavour was alrite,not too sweet nor too strong.
the unique cakey interior;

Strawberry & White Choc Donut

A plain substantial doughy donut coated with white chocolate frosting.The center is garnished with strawberry jam and almond flakes.
Got another 4 for my cousins on a second visit..

(anticlockwise from left)
Chocolate French ($1.40)
Custard Cheese Doh ($1.50)
Double Chocolate ($1.40)
Strawberry Chocolate Doh ($1.30)
Custard Cheese Doh

Just a thin layer of dough surrounding a hollow interior filled with gooey cream which gave interesting tinges of sweet and savoury. Looks especially cute with the smiley face design.
I tried the Chocolate French which had a unusually airy texture; it was extremely wet and clingy but tasted quite alright. They also offered many other types apart from these mentioned ones, both sweet and savoury versions.
With the extensive selection of dreamy donuts, they are sure a hit with the crowd. Nowhere close to the ultimate Krispy Kreme or Donut Factory, but probably on par with Dunkin' Donuts. I'd say its generally good enough to satisfy a simple donut fix of mine.
