Donut Factory!
the craze goes on...
Just take a walk along the basement of Raffles City and you will stunned by a perpetually long queue stretching all the way to the Times bookstore. It is now organisedly split into 3 portions with the use of barriers and even involving guards to control the movement!
...and the hype is all for...

DONUT FACTORY.
Many Singaporeans sure have an undying fetish for doughnuts, and i'm certainly one of them. They are such delightful things to munch on and can come in unlimited versatile flavours.. Its a pity that Krispy Kreme do not see Singapore as a potential market BUT thankfully for us, half-german half-pakistani businessman Gunter Rahim did. Now we have our very own Donut Factory to satisfy those sweet cravings!
The greatest reward after a taxing 3 hours of queueing?

A WHOLE DOZEN OF DONUTS SMILING AT YOU (:

Their presentation was impressive- every piece comes nicely round in shape and beautifully smothered in glossy flowy frostings. Variety-wise, there is a decent selection of flavours specially created to suit the local tastebuds. But the highlight is no doubt the sensational experience of tasting the doughnuts personally..
I simply love the feeling of sinking my teeth into these delicately soft donuts. The dough is miraculously light and fluffy throughout, bearing no sign of being oil-soaked. Furthermore, they still hold themselves up pretty well even after hours of storage. 8 seconds in the microwave is all it takes to get warm chewing pleasures. Certainly indulging!

a dozen of assorted flavours.
My personal favourites would have to be the..
Orange White Chocolate

The smooth white chocolate glazing is made extra lip-smacking with a touch of zesty orange flavour. yumyum.

Apple Cinnamon

A simple but safe choice. Neatly topped with stewed tiny apple bits and exudes a deep rustic cinnamon aroma.

Also, they had some exclusive flavours like..
Spicy Cheese

A rare change for a savoury donut instead. The splendidly smooth cheese was akin to those used for nachos but packed with tinges of extra spices. Weird, but special.

Lotus Mocha

A coffee-flavoured donut with very strong bitter mocha aftertaste. Topped with smooth lous paste of middling sweetness but is completely empowered by the coffee flavour.

Kaya White Chocolate

Good for the sweet tooth- feel the sugar rush when you bite into the white chocolate topped with kaya. I feel that the sweetness was slightly too intense for my liking.

Lastly, one commendable one would be the..
Double Chocolate

Doubly chocolatey, doubly blissful! Feel the sinful blend of white chocolate frosting and molten dark chocolate filling as you bite in. It certainly satisfies the cravings of chocolate lovers.

All the other flavours i had were lovely as well- nothing goes wrong with their quality frostings and fillings used. Although a tad less supreme than KK, they are on par in terms of the satisfaction provided. Simply heavenly~
