Waffle Day at Gelare Cafe

Its a faithful tuesday afternoon and so where else but Gelare for their Half-price waffles!

Headed down to the outlet at Siglap this time..

The place here stands on its own at a corner of the building. Generally bigger with both inside and outside seatings available.

Waffle with Double Scoop Icecream ($3, plus $5 for icecream)

Was having a sudden craving for cheese, so here's my waffle topped with Strawberry Yogurt Cheese & Blueberry Yogurt Cheese gelato. The strawberry one is my classic pick at Gelare; a delightful smooth blend of creamy cheese and berry flavour. The blueberry one was too artificial for my liking.

To be honest, Gelare's standards tend to be very inconsistent among the various outlets. This time, my waffle is overbaked and lacked the airyness that it should have. The emaciating sweetness from the gelato can also get too overwhelming at times. Just no match for Ice Cube Cafe's.
