Another great dinner meeting with Xinya; this time for our very own chinese cuisine.

Situatued in the prominent shopping belt of Citylink Mall, this quaint outlet greets with its welcoming bright red outlook. Their menu is no big-thing, offering mainly la-mian, fried rice and some side dishes.
Both of us went their speciality- La Mian. Xinya's Vegetable Wanton Lamian consisted of 5 wrapped dumplings in a soup broth. They apparently didnt score for her, so i tried one of it... the minced meat tasted rather gluey.

Vegetable Wanton Lamian ($8)

Mushroom & Minced Chicken Lamian ($7.70)
My order of dry noodles seriously shocked me when it arrived- the appearance was totally dismatching to what i expected. It seemed rather alluring with a small dollop of sauce over some neatly laid noodles (in the picture) but i couldn't even spot my noodles in this pool of gravy.

Neglecting their overwhelming generousity with the sauce, i have to mention how their lamian did make the cut. The bundle of soft smooth noodles buried underneath were hand-pulled with much consistency. Becomes extra palatable after being well-coated with the somewhat savoury gravy.

Guo Tie ($5.70 for 6 pieces)
Also ordered this side dish to share- very mediocre fillings of dry meat and chives without any crispy edge to its skin. Xinya finds it over-meaty.

We both agree in unison that their la-mian was pretty impressive with the skilfull pulling and cooking. Just skip those forgettable meat-based dishes here.
