The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Having a long wait before the arrival of my sister's flight from Sydney, this cafe at the Terminal 2 airport seemed most welcoming for me to pass time at. I could kill two birds with one stone here- grab a fulfilling dinner while using their place for some revision.
Very standard cafe-style menu here with the 3 basic categories- salads, sandwiches and pastas. Eventually settled for one of their gourmet sandwiches.

Turkey and Melted Cheddar Cheese Sandwich ($7)
Olive oil ciabatta bread was my choice out of the 5 bread types they offer. The bread arrived clearly toasted but the fillings inside were extremely displeasing for me. Raw turkey ham and some chilled solid cheese slabs are certainly not what i would expect from a "melted cheddar cheese" sandwich. Being visibly unacceptable, i requested for re-toasting without hesitation.

Now this is what i call a real "melted" sandwich- the entire sandwich has to be heated until the cheese forms a warm gooey layer over the meat. Their version here is pretty good actually; generous slices of thick smoked turkey (just a tad too salty) and rich cheddar with a sharp cheesy taste. A small clump of lettuce with caesar dressing came by the side.

Was the cheese incident a negligence just a mere carelessness of their staff? This is one thing i cant quite figure out.
