Delifrance Bistro
It was a long story how we ended how here for lunch- of all places, hougang mall and delifrance. Anyways, this is a bistro outlet with much more selections apart from the usual sandwich fare-they had grills, pastas and desserts.
Despite the extended menu, all of us except dad of us still stuck to the classic bread orders. Looking absolutely delicious was Sis' croissant stuffed with luscious seafood mayo. Mum had a comparatively dull tuna mayo on ciabatta. Both came with a soup of the day and garlic bread.

Cream of Mushroom & Garlic Bread

Tuna D'licious on Ciabatta ($6.95)

Seafood D'sire on Croissant ($7.95)
Then, dad's 120g sirloin cut accompanied with their baked potato gratin, vegetables and a cup of mushroom sauce arrived. I could eaily tell how delectable it was from the way he tucked into his main course. This was pretty worth it, and we even get to add a dessert at just $2.

Steak d'Aloyau Minute ($9.95)
The long waiting time of my order was displeasing. Upon an enquiry, the waitress merely said that it would take a longer time without even bothering to give further explanations. By the time it came, all of them were already finishing their food (mum had gobbled up her entire sandwich).

Le Ciabatta Vegetarien de Champignon ($8.25)

Okay so this is what i got after a 20 minutes wait; a layer of tomato sauce-spread ciabatta topped with shriveled peppers & mushroom bits, then baked with a mozzarella crust. The crusty toasted base was passable but the floury slab of bread atop was unaccapetable. Some chips and a side salad came along.

Signature Bread Pudding ($6.95)
The word "signature" , together with a beautifully illustrated photo of this dish highly raised my expectations. Unfortunately, what was served took me aback. A small circle of icecream came insecurely swimming in a pool of vanilla sauce- with a paltry burnt-looking slice beside it (about half the size of that shown in the picture). It did taste quite toothsome with its mushy moist texture, but certainly not justifyable for a $6.95 pricetag. Good thing we only spent $2 on this.

So thats about our unofficial "french" lunch, with deceiving food rather unattentive service.
