He He Pancakes

We've all heard of personal pan pizzas, but how about some personal pan pancakes?

Find it at He He, a humble hawker stall located right in the middle of the Hainanese Village Centre. This recent breakfast find of mine have became a favourite of dad & I, and we patronise them pretty regularly on weekends.

Their version of Mee Chiang Kueh here begs to differ from those found elsewhere. They are made on individual pans over small flames to give a result of some soft centre and thin crisp edges. Completed with a generous dollop of your preferred filling, these personalised pancakes sure make a satisfying morning treat!

Personal-sized Pancake

Four choices are available; peanut, red bean, coconut or cheese. My preference would be cheese and peanut, both being nice additions to accompany the batter. The cheese melts in to give a gooey and savoury punch while the peanut offers subtle crunchy pleasures. As for dad, a less-cloying coconut is best for him.

Cheese Pancake ($0.90)

Coconut Pancake ($0.60)

Peanut ($0.60)

Not a fan of MCKs? They do sell other breakfast delights like chee cheong fun, peanut porridge, yam cake, soon kueh and rice dumplings as well (:
