Intan Pancake, Batam
Happen to come across this small pancake kiosk attracting a crowd in Batam City Square.

Tending the stall were two professionally-dressed ladies, producing little roundies akin to my favourite japanese pancakes from Mr Bean. Mum and i bought 2 to try out.

It took an approximate 10-minute wait for our pancakes since they make them fresh upon order. Seven fillings available included chocolate, strawberry, pandan kaya, cheese, corn and two others.. but i went for a safer choice of corn and kaya.

Corn Pancake (Rp 3500)
I ate it when its still piping hot, soft in the middle and crispy on the edges- and it was wonderful!

Do not underestimate these shrivelled-looking corn kernels; they were much more juicy and tasty than i expected. Went really well with the batter, even mummy thinks so!

Yay, one great snack discovered.
